Buying Carbon Credits is a way for individuals and businesses to recognise & redress the environmental cost of their activities. When you purchase a carbon credit you are essentially funding activity elsewhere that is reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This activity may include, for example, the planting and protection of forests which act as carbon sinks that draw carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere, or it may include registered projects where energy efficient products, such as light globes and water saving showerheads, are installed.
